A Washington native and graduate of Seattle’s Lakeside School, I earned a B.A. in philosophy at Pomona College followed by a law degree at the University of Oregon. After law school, I served as a federal judicial law clerk in Tucson, Arizona. Upon completing my clerkship, I returned home to Seattle and raised three sons with my wonderful wife Kirsten. When not practicing law, I’ve spent time climbing in the Cascades, as well as some in Oregon, California, Colorado, British Columbia, Alberta, and Ecuador. Technical routes are largely in the rearview mirror, but long hikes and high alpine traverses are still fair game. Having relocated to Kingston, I look forward to exploring more of the Olympics. Other activities include a lifetime of downhill skiing as well as fresh and saltwater fly fishing.
